Mr. GANESH MARAIYUR RAMADOSS
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Ganesh Maraiyur Ramados holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management, Economy, and Finance from the Geneva School of Economics and Management. Leading BBGI Group’s expansion and investment strategy for institutional and private clients , he has conducted numerous academic studies in various fields of investments, which have led to the creation of various successful and efficient investment concepts and financial indices that have proved instrumental for both private and institutional investors. He was the first financial expert in Switzerland to conduct academic studies on real estate investment diversification opportunities and the role of real estate assets in portfolio return optimization for institutional investors. Prior to founding BBGI Group, Mr. Ganesh was the head of asset allocation and investment strategy for institutional clients at one of the largest private banks in Switzerland and also managed funds on behalf of some of the leading sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East.
DAVID BORISE
Vice-Chairman of the Board
Mr. David Borise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from the Geneva School of Economics and Management. After qualifying with as Chartered Accountant and working for several years in the Audit departments for Several Companies in Belgium and in France, he joined BMFLD Corporate Finance in Amsterdam in 1996. In 1997, he founded the BMFLD Corporate Finance department in Belgium. David has been involved in numerous acquisitions strategies, company and market analysis and transaction management also Project Funding and Management. His Mergers and Acquisitions experience relates to acquisition and disposal assistance for both Belgian and international companies. He overseas all projects fundings up to the tune of $15Billion USD.
AHMED SHARIF
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ahmed Sharif holds a Master’s Degree in Finance with a Major in Wealth Management as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Geneva School of Economics and Management. A dynamic and result oriented finance and real estate professional with an outstanding background in client identification, client acquisition, and deal-making. He brings to the group 10+ years of proven track record in addressing the needs of both High Net Worth Individuals and sophisticated Institutional Investors in the Middle East. Before joining BBGI Group, he was Head of Real Estate Investments of CBRE in the Middle East, the world’s leading real estate advisory firm, and Head of Indirect Investments and Fund advisory department of CBRE in Switzerland. His various articles and market comments have been published in Gulf News, The National, Emirates 24/7, AGEFI and the Swiss Bank and Finance Magazine.
ENG. MAHMOUD ALBURAI
CEO of Dubai Real estate Institute.
He is currently the Vice President of International real estate federation, FIABCI, UK, since Jan 2011 and sits on the board of International Real estate Society (IRES). Mahmoud has been selected to be FIABCI representative at the United Nations Economic Commission for West Asia (UNESCWA). He is also representing UNGC in the MENA region; applying Global Compact Principles and SDG’s to the real estate industry. He advises World Economic Forum on housing policies. Prior to his position in Dubai Real estate Institute, Mahmoud worked for 3 years as Senior Director of Real estate Sector development at Real estate Regulatory Authority of Dubai and few years as a Development Associate Manager at Dubai holding. Mahmoud completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering at the American University before continuing on to earn his Master’s in Real Estate from National University of Singapore. Mahmoud completed his MBA in Finance from his alma mater, American University of Dubai in 2010.He is now pursuing his DBA at Grenoble ecole de management in France.
EDWARD CARNEGY
Head of Abu Dhabi Office—Savills
Edward is a highly experienced MENA region commercial real estate professional with over 14 years in the region. He has worked for leading global property consultancies in UK and UAE across all main asset classes and more recently as a commercial director for a global office & industrial investor-developer in the MENA and APAC markets. He currently leads Savills in Abu Dhabi which offers a broad spectrum of services from strategic consultancy, development consultancy, valuation, property management, facilities management consultancy through to transactional services across commercial and residential assets. Edward also leads the commercial Agency team in Abu Dhabi, specialising in occupier services across office, industrial and retail asset classes. Beyond this and drawing on deep local occupier knowledge he supports clients with strategic mix planning initiatives and development consultancy. He acts for a broad spectrum of clients, from major multinational banks, international funds, to GCC based family offices. Edward also advises clients on investment acquisitions and disposals in UAE, linking in with the Savills global network for outbound investment.
IMRAN SHEIKH
Chief Investment Officer — Peninsula Real Estate
Imran has over 18 years of investment experience across Europe and the Middle East with a focus on real estate investments and acquisitions, deal structuring, business development and investment strategy. Before joining Peninsula, Imran was the Chief Investment Officer at Dubai Healthcare City overseeing the investment strategy for the Free Zone. Prior to that, he worked with Equitativa, manager of the largest listed REIT in the Middle East. At Equitativa, Imran oversaw the acquisitions for the REIT, optimization of a sector diversified Middle Eastern portfolio worth over $1bn, as well as underwriting and due diligence activities. Imran has extensive direct real estate investment and acquisition experience. He has assessed over $10bn worth of real estate deals across all asset classes. Imran received an MBA in Finance from London Business School. He is a member of a number of investment clubs and societies and participates in numerous talks and panel discussions covering REIT’s and investments.
